Ex-OK! editor Lisa Byrne is coming to York Fashion Week for an intimate afternoon with local TV and radio star Ryan Swain at The Deans Court Hotel on Thursday afternoon.
Lisa, from Acomb, York, was editor-in-chief of the weekly celebrity glossy in its heyday, when circulation wars were rife between OK! and Hello! to secure the biggest cover stars. During the 13 years she worked at OK! magazine, Lisa clocked up thousands of air miles, following celebrities around the world. Under her editorship, OK! covered many celebrity weddings, including those of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones; Peter Andre and Katie Price (aka Jordan), and Cheryl Tweedy and Ashley Cole, but none were as memorable nor as star-studded as Liza and David's, which Lisa and the OK! team helped to organize.
This event will see Lisa return to York for a special event in conjunction with York Fashion Week which will be presented by local TV and Radio star Ryan Swain. He will be interviewing Lisa on stage all about her life, career and asking her what it was like to be an editor at the worlds biggest celebrity gossip magazine. They will be discussing all this intimately in front of a live audience on Thursday 28th March at The Deans Court Hotel in York. Tickets are £10 each.
